MySpace video code - Myspace music video codes

One of the best ways to share your favorite videos with your friends is to put them up on your myspace profile. You can share your favorite music videos on myspace, put up your own homemade videos or find and share funny videos with your friends at myspace.com. Adding videos to your myspace profile isn't all that difficult. There are a couple of different ways to do it.

If you just want to share videos with your friends, the easiest way is to do it through your myspace video page.

1. Find a video that you like (or make one yourself).

2. Go to your myspace.com profile page.

3. Click on Videos in the tab in the top menu on your myspace home page.

4. On the far right hand side at the bottom, click on the Upload button.

5. Once it's done uploading, you'll be on your My Videos page. You can share your videos with your friends by sending them the link.

If you want the video to actually appear on your myspace profile page, though, you'll need to do a little coding. Here's how to add a video to your myspace profile.

1. Find a video - or make one yourself.

2. Your video will need to be hosted somewhere. You'll find some good video hosts with a web search. Upload the video to the web host, and make a note of the url.

3. In order to show your video on your myspace page, you'll have to use HTML to embed it. There are lots of ways to do that - I like using the embed code inside a DIV tag, where you can control exactly where the video player shows up. Here's an example of how to embed a video in your myspace.com profile:

Paste the following code into the About Me edit box in your Myspace profile. Make sure that it's outside any style tags.

You'll want to customize that by changing these options:

The Video Change 'url_to_your_video' to the url to your video.

Sizing: width: how wide you want your myspace video to be in pixels (120px) height: how tall you want your myspace video to be in pixels (114px)

Positioning your myspace video The position: absolute; tag tells the browser to put your video EXACTLY where you say. Leave that alone. You can use top, left, right and bottom tags to tell the browser where you want your video. Just measure the pixels from the side and the top of your profile and enter them into the top: and left: attributes in the code above.
